Joel Marquardt, EA (Enrolled to practice before the IRS) General Manager

Joel was raised on a dairy farm in Marathon County.  He attended UW-Madison and graduated with a BS in Dairy Science and an MS in Dairy Nutrition and Management.  After college he was the herdsman and farm manager of a 100 cow dairy farm in Green County for 5 years.  His next position was Farm Training Instructor with NCTC in Central Wisconsin for 3 years.  In 1985 Joel began working as a consultant with LFM.  Joel prepares tax returns, provides farm analysis and does farm consulting.  In addition to these duties, Joel has also served as the General Manager of LFM since August 2000.

Joel lives in Valders with his wife, Marion.  They have two children, Aryelle and Aaron.

Renee Setzer, EA (Enrolled to practice before the IRS) Consultant

Renee was raised on a dairy farm in Shawano County.  She attended UW-River Falls and graduated with a BS in Agriculture.  The first position out of college was as a loan officer with FCS.  She became an independent contractor while raising her children.  Renee held contracts with the Manitowoc and Oconto County service centers of the FSA from 1999-2007.  She started with LFM in 2007 preparing tax returns, providing analysis and consulting. Renee resides in Sheboygan Falls with her husband, Dan.  They have four adult children and several grandchildren.

 

Kimberly Alfson, Accounting Associate/Tax Preparer

Kimberly has an Associate Degree in Accounting from Lakeshore Technical College. She has been at LFM since November of 2008. Currently at Lakeshore Farm Management, Kimberly is responsible for monthly QuickBooks records, payroll, quarterly reports and preparing income tax returns. She also helps with various administrative duties. Kimberly currently lives in St Nazianz with her husband Lane and their three children, Alexis, Abigail and Taylor.

 

Tabitha Weber, CPA Consultant

Tabitha was raised on a dairy farm in Fond du Lac County.  She double majored at UW-Green Bay earning a Bachelor’s Degree in both accounting and finance.  During college she was involved in the Accounting Students Association.  She began interning for LFM during the summer of 2011 and continued to intern until becoming full-time in summer of 2012.   Tabitha became a licensed CPA in 2016.

 

Mary Lutze, Consultant, Assistant General Manager

Mary joined the LFM staff in 2009. She is responsible for preparing income tax returns, tax consulting, and is Assistant to the General Manager. She has an Associated Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Mary worked as an office administrator in the corporate setting for 14 years and in the social services field for 4 years, at the same time she owned and operated a retail business for 12 years. Mary resides in Sheboygan with her husband Dean. They have two adult daughters.

 

Tina Schramm, Office Manager

Tina started working at LFM in January of 2002 and is the Office Manager. Her job includes monthly Quick Book entry, payroll, quarterlies, compiling information for tax preparation, tax return input, along with manager responsibilities. Tina attended Silver Lake College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Psychology.

Tina lives in rural Two Rivers and has two grown children, Cole and Genna. Her interests include thrift shopping, reading, crafts, and most importantly spending time with family and friends. Working at LFM has allowed her the flexibility to adjust her schedule to meet the demands of family life. She enjoys the family atmosphere at LFM along with the personal contact she has with clients.

 

Jill Wittmus, Accounting Associate/Tax Preparer

Jill grew up in the Valders area and graduated from Valders High School. Jill began employment at Associated Bank shortly after graduating from high school in 1988.   She was employed as an assistant head teller and also performed employee computer training until leaving in 1997 to begin employment with LFM. Jill began working at Lakeshore Farm Management as a seasonal administrative assistant. Her responsibilities have expanded to include internal Quickbooks coordination, Quickbooks client training coordination, individual and business tax preparation, and completion of monthly client records & Quickbooks services. Jill is married and has three boys.

 

Gail McCulley, Accounting Associate

Gail started working at Lakeshore Farm Management in September 2015. Gail is an Accounting Assistant working with QuickBooks records, payroll, and has various office duties. She grew up in Valders and graduated from Valders High School. Prior to coming to LFM, she was employed by Spancrete Inc. in Valders for 27 years in the payroll department. She and her husband Mark own McCulley Dairy Farm in the Clarks Mills area and she is responsible for the farm bookwork. They have 3 grown sons. She likes to spend her free time with her family, gardening, reading and walking her dog.

 

Dean Ziegler, Consultant

Dean grew up and worked on his family’s dairy farm in Manitowoc County.  His main responsibilities were with the cattle - raising the calves, working with the heifers, and milking cows.   He later attended and received a bachelor’s degree from Lakeland College (now Lakeland University) while majoring in accounting and business administration.  Over the years, he worked in credit analysis in banking and farm credit while also working in roles including tax preparation and small business accounting.  He was hired in November, 2016 as a field consultant/tax preparer.  He lives in Howards Grove with his wife, Bonnie.  They have two daughters, Hannah and Julia.

 

Rachel Nagel—Accounting Specialist/Tax Preparer

Rachel was raised on a dairy farm in rural Manitowoc County. She attended Lakeland University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.  Rachel started working at Lakeshore Farm Management in December of 2019. She assists clients with QuickBooks, payrolls, quarterly/annual reports, and tax preparation. Rachel lives in Valders. She likes to spend her free time running, biking, and gardening.

Hannah Strutz, Accounting Specialist/Tax Preparer

Hannah grew up in Newton, Wisconsin. She was involved in both 4-H and FFA, and worked for a neighboring farm for five years where she milked cows and fed calves. During High School, she was part of the Youth Apprenticeship program, where she had the opportunity to work in the accounting department of a local business before going to school each day. After graduating from Valders High School in January of 2019, she started working part-time at Lakeshore Farm Management. During her first two years at LFM, she was a student at Lakeshore Technical College. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting, as well as an Associate Degree in Agribusiness Management. She began working full-time at LFM in May of 2021. Hannah’s duties include monthly QuickBooks records, payroll, quarterly unemployment reports, tax returns, and other various tasks around the office. Hannah is married and lives with her husband, Ryan, on his family’s dairy farm in Two Rivers.

 

Ashley Grotegut, Accounting Assistant

Ashley grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Newton, WI. After high school she worked for the USPS as a rural mail carrier for over 10 years. She attended Lakeshore Technical College, where she received Associate degrees in Accounting and Human Resource Management. She returned to her family’s farm in 2017 where she serves as the Office Manager. Ashley started working at LFM in August 2021. Duties include monthly QuickBooks records, payroll, quarterly unemployment reports and other office assistance. Ashley lives in Branch with her boyfriend, Gabe, and their two children, Emmett and Davie.
